AFRO POP OPERA is a high energy production that combines the rich cultural heritage of Soweto with modern pop sensibilities. This innovative show features a talented and diverse troupe of 6 world class singers performing a fusion of Afro-Pop, Jazz, Classical and Opera - accompanied by a string quartet (2 violins, viola, cello) and a 4-piece band. A fresh blend of African rhythms, catchy pop hooks, and operatic vocals that will leave audiences begging for more.

Nkululeko Vilakazi is a South African entrepreneur and creative having founded various ventures within the Creative Industry including Vilakazi Entertainment Group with subsidiaries in Music Publishing, VIL Publishing, ViL Records, and theatre productions and concerts. Soweto Spiritual Singers - Soweto Afro Pop Opera - African Dream, the Musical. He co-founded the Grammy winning Soweto Spiritual Singers with his sister, Vicky Vilakazi-Mol in 2007. The group is a vocal ensemble that celebrates South Africa's diverse cultures and traditions through music. He is a songwriter (reaching a listing on Billboard), composer and Artistic Director.
